Building Boys Self-Esteem
Hey Now, Little Man is a book to build self-esteem in boys. The shifting rainbow color palette helps this book be inclusive and represent boys as a whole and not from any specific group. The language has positive ideals and a good vocabulary like the word unique. This book would be good for preschool- kindergarten boys to have a grown-up read to them and help explain the concepts. The poetic words make it a fun read-aloud and natural to read smoothly with a bit of flare for emphasis. Overall, this board book presents some abstract concepts that are good to introduce to young readers but they are likely to need to follow up with conversation to fully grasp the positive affirmations presented in this book.
