Ah, this is the cutest series! Though I am officially reviewing the third book, I also read the first two in order to properly assess how book three stacks up and fits in--and I wasn't disappointed!
In their latest adventure, Austin, Alanna, and Ozzy's face paint fun transforms them into pirates on the New Leaf who immediately must protect their crew against incoming rival pirates! With an emphasis on problem solving, relationship building, and imagination, readers will love this swashbuckling tale.
The target age, listed as 7+ is right-on, though my 3-year-old loved it too! The gorgeous, vibrant, and fun illustrations pair so perfectly with the prose that she knew what was happening even before I read the words. I definitely look forward to their next adventure.
