Luke is one of the popular crowd, but he has a nerdy secret. He loves to play the online game called Mageland and loves to partner with someone named Prince Z. At a party, he discovers that Prince Z's identity is actually a girl from his school named Suzie and he can't believe it or get her off his mind.

Suzie is one of the geeks at school, so she becomes very guarded when golden boy Luke starts picking on her. At first, she thinks he's mocking her for the #GeeksGoneWild tag floating around school, but as time goes on, she can't decide if he's actually being serious. It's hard to believe that someone like Luke would ever look her way, but there's something sincere about him. When she finds out he plays Mageland, Suzie becomes more curious about who the real Luke is.

MY VIRTUAL PRINCE CHARMING is a cute contemporary romance that's perfect when you're in the mood for a cheesy book. I like that Suzie didn't fall for Luke immediately. Her distrust of him is very realistic and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Luke is so sweet and didn't seem like a player at all. He also didn't push Suzie and let her take the time she needed to open up to him.

I personally connected with this book because I'm a gamer and some of my closest friends are online. There's a connection between people that develops after playing together for so long. We have nothing to hide and it makes the bonds that are formed that much stronger. I loved that initially, Suzie felt guilty for talking to Luke because of DataG. That was another realistic touch so hats off to Maggie Dallen for this amazing and adorable read.


Final Verdict: I would recommend this book to fans of video games, contemporary romance, and romances between the geeks and the popular crowd.
