Nothing But The Truth
The book Nothing But The Truth by Avi, provoked me that it is the best book I have ever read. This is a great story for teens.
Nothing But The Truth
is about a high school boy, Phillip Malloy who says the Pledge Of
Allegiance really loud when his class resides it. He is also a stubborn
person. He has a teacher named Miss. Narwin. She is the strictest
teacher at his school, and he has her for homeroom.
Avi does a
great job of making this story into memos, paragraphs, dialogue, and
like a play. The author makes great disruptions about the
characters. Also the author does a good job making it feel like a real
life situation.
When I scrutinize this book it is great, the best story I have ever read! I denounce this novel five stars out of five.

i actually loved this book, like the title of the review infers, but i think it was too short. i would of enjoyed it a lot more if it had been longer, but it's quality that matters, not quantity, and this book had a lot of quality. Avi did a right-good job with this one. but on tom he real review.
overall, this book was inticing, a story of true patriotism. but there is one thing i didn't understand about it, at the end, when he's crying and says "i don't know the words", does that mean he had been lying this whole time? or that when he had been singing, he was just humming? anyway, the book is fantastic, i don't know how avi did it in this small amount of pages he created a masterpiece, well, i wouldn't go that far, but he did create a frickin' good book. the plot was very understandable, and the book easy to read, yet it was still slightly confusing, with all the denials and such, i didn't know who to believe. anyway, this wasn't my best review ever, i've done some good ones, but it was okay. long live avi, au revoir.

Phillip just wants to make the high school track team. He knows that if he makes it, there is a good chance that the school will win the state championship. There's just one thing blocking his way--Miss Narwin, who has given Phillip a D in English. Through many misunderstandings and lying, this story is a tale of how these things can ruin the lives of many people. AVI captures the thoughts of teenagers and the adults who interact with them to perfection.

How many times can a story be done about a boy who defies the school? Instead of sitting during the Pledge of Allegiance, he decides to sing. No big deal, right? Well, the school blows it up and makes it look like he committed a lewd act or something saying it was "inappropriate, rude" and all that other stuff. Please! I've read better newspaper articles dealing with this subject. The characters are flat and unbelievable, the dialogue weird and the whole documnetary thing--lame. If you're bored durng study hall, read this to pass the time.

A freshman in high school named Philip Malloy enjoys finding ways to make his english teacher Miss Narwin mad. He is only doing this because he thinks it all Miss Narwin fault that he can's be on the track team. I really loved this book and I think everyone else will also!
