The perfect, sparkly gift for your valentine!

Paint by Sticker Kids: Love Is Everywhere! includes everything kids need to create ten colorful images, including a smiling glitter rainbow, a cute otter holding a heart-shaped shell, a kitten wearing glitter sunglasses, a pair of nuzzling bunnies, and more! All you need to do is follow three easy steps:

Step 1: Find the sticker.
Step 2: Peel the sticker.
Step 3: Place the sticker.
And watch your paintings come to life!

Painting by sticker is easy, mess-free, and portable (plus, all the pages are perforated so multiple kids can create at the same time!). The stickers are designed to be easy for small hands to maneuver, and no actual paint means no splatter, drips, or messy clean-up.

This book has ten picture outlines, including a rainbow, cat, mailbox, teddy bear, dog, rabbits, and cupcakes, set on a coloful illustrated background. The outlines are numbered. The pages of stickers in the back have a full color thumb nail picture of the finished picture, and the stickers all have numbers next to them.

There is an instruction page at the beginning that walks children through how to use the stickers, and does mention that the stickers are NOT removable, so should be placed carefully.
Good Points
These are very cute pictures, and have a Lisa Frank vibe to the colors and topics, if not the illustration style. I especially liked the parrots and the other clutching a heart. There is a whole series of these, including Christmas, rainbow, dinosaur, and Halloween themed ones.

The pages are about as heavy as card stock, and the stickers are good quality. The borders on the stickers means that each one is very clear and crisp; there are no white margins, so the pictures made with them should be very nice. I couldn't bring myself to actually complete one, but I did try to peel one off. The page was bendable, so the sticker was easy to remove.

There have been a number of intriguing sticker books lately, including Eyelike Stickers series, Pipsticks and Workman's So. Many. Feelings Stickers: 2,700 Stickers for Every Mood, and Storey Publishing Backpack Explorers books.

I was a big fan of paint-by-number sets when I was young, and wish that I had kept the black velvet painting kit I was given for my sixth birthday. Some children are very creative and can create their own pictures successfully, but some of us do better with some direction. The fact that each picture has dozens of stickers, some with sparkles, makes this an irresistable project book for those who find it satisfying to use stickers. This would make a great gift, especially for a child who had to sit still for long periods of time due to illness or travel.
