Peggy is Mom's new garden helper. From finding worms to picking berries, Peggy does it all! Well, she tries her best, and that's what's important - learning and enjoying a fun day in the sun.

Peggy is adorable, in her attitude and expressions (eating a sour tomato? yuck!). The illustrations have a vibrant watercolor style that's inviting and full of spring or summertime joy. I've never had a green thumb, as a child or now, and seeing Peggy tromping around the garden took me back to afternoons with my mom or my aunt among the flowers, wielding a spade with more enthusiasm than skill.

This is one of those simple stories that will have you reading over and over again, and I can't wait to pick up more of Peggy's adventures.
