This book is hilarious. I laughed so much when I was reading this.

Maya's
problems start when her parents leave her and her brother in charge of
their family-owned Thai restaurant for the weekend. When Maya is worn
out and tired by Sunday, she decides to delay the clean up until the
next day, after school. When she arrives, a health inspector is there
with a $10,000 fine. In order to pay for that fine, she
masterminds-along with Camden-a multi-thousand-dollar cheating ring and
risks jeopardizing her scholarship to Stanford University.

The
characters were hilarious. Maya was my favorite. She always had a
comeback ready to shoot back whenever she was with Camden. I loved all
the characters. I was able to see them through Maya's eyes and saw what
she thought of them.

Cheva unequivocally accomplished a
teenager's point of view consistently, throughout the book. Cheva was
able to have a perfect POV to go along with a perfect scenario.

With compelling characters, lifelike dialogue, and a fascinating plot, She's So Money
will definitely attract the attention of teenagers who like clever, fun
comedies with a touch of witty, devious characters that will easily
make you laugh your heart out. I know I did.

She's so Money has definitely earned its A+.

Maya spends most of her time studying and working at her parent's restaurant. She's never had a boyfriend in her life...until Camden King. Popular, outgoing, uh.. not so smart, Camden starts to bring Maya out of her shell. When Maya learns she has to pay a lot of money to save her parents restaurant, she turns to Camden for help. Maya agrees to Cam's plan and she starts doing kids homework for cash. When someone finds out about Maya and Cam's elaborate scheme, Maya has to act fast before her life spins out of control...

This was a great book. Cherry Cheva made you fill like you were part of the book, right alongside Maya and Cam. The characters each had their own personalities and the plot was believable. Anyone who enjoys books by Meg Cabot would definitely like She's So Money. A great summer read.

OMG!! One of my favorite books that I have read. It's soooo good! No joke! If you remember, I really like bittersweet romance stuff and this book definitely had an awesome bittersweet scene. I almost cried because it was so good. This was one book that I couldn't put down and when I did because I had to [I blame you, sleep!], I kept contemplating about what was going to happen next so then...I decided to get up [screw sleep!] and finished the book. It was that good. Amazing. The characters were also really well written and I felt that I practically knew them. All I can say is that I really wish that there's a sequel because I really want to find out what happens between the main characters! And I can't wait until Cherry's next novel. :]

Maya's one goal is to get accepted into Stanford Collage and getting away from working at her parents restaurant. That is until she gets in a little over her head while her parents go away for the weekend. Soon Maya finds herself running a homework business with the cute but, annoying Camden King. Not, only is Maya now doing the popular crowd home work so are her friends. Maya finds herself in a complicated mess, but will she be able to find a way out? Or will she have to kiss Stanford acceptance letter goodbye?

I enjoyed this book, very much! Maya is the perfect narrator and had a strong independent voice. I think that readers will admire this quality in her, I know that I did! She also does not instantly fall for Camden like other girls did! So please, go read this awsome book!

Shes So Money is the story of a Thai teenage girl named Maya living in Michigan. Shes the nerdy smart girl who tutors for extra money. Shes the girl who waitresses at her parents Thai restaurant for tips which go into the college fund. Shes also the girl whos never been kissed, wants to go to Stanford, pisses off one unhappy vegan customer, and now has to come up with $10,000 in fines to pay the Health Department.

Thats right; the one time Mayas parents leave Maya is charge of the restaurant, nearly everything that can go wrong does. The angry vegan customer threatens to call the Health Department, and at first Maya doesnt take her seriously. Unfortunately, she and her brother also decide to save cleaning up the restaurant for the next day. That leads to the large fine. Maya is too ashamed to tell her parents, her brother, or her friends. All thats left to do is come up with the money to pay the debt. The only problem is how. Maya then makes the decision to do other peoples homework for money.

When I first saw this book, I have to admit that I was a little skeptical because the cover was a little over the top. But, I tried not to judge and started reading. I was very impressed. Cherry Cheva does a fantastic job of portraying the strict Asian parents of the geeky Asian girl (and I would know). Some of the characters were stereotyped, such as the nerdy Asian kid and the ditzy popular girls. There were a couple slightly unexpected twists, but the plot was overall straightforward. It seemed a little unrealistic that the popular guy Camden fell for Maya in the end, because things like those almost never happen in real life, but it was cute anyway.

I definitely recommend this novel to all people interested in accurate representations and stories of high school. The novel is very funny, and readers who liked The Squad series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes will especially appreciate the humor. I also think readers who liked How Not to be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler will also find Shes So Money a fun read.

This tale starts when Overachiever Maya's parents decide to leave their Thai restaurant and leave Maya in charge, positive that she will keep it under control.

Then, exhausted after a long day of work, they decide not to clean one evening. And with their bad luck, the next day their restaurant recieves a surprise visit from a health inspector, leaving her with a huge fine which there's no way she can pay. But no way she can let her parents know either.

Her financial crisis, leads her to team up with the goodlooking and popular Camden.

Maya's smarts and Camden's connections (*ahem* to needed cutomers*)cause them to create an immense cheating ring. And while it starts small, it only gets bigger as Maya's friends get involved and Maya and Camden find themselves in a romatic ensnarement.

She's So Money will entice teens, cause them to laugh out loud and anticipate Cherry Cheva's next book. I recommend this to all teen girls who enjoy a fresh realistic heroine.

Maya has always been a good girl. I wish I had her drive! Not only does she work every night at her parents restaurant, and tutor students at her school, she also has an unbelievable GPA. All Maya wants to do is make it through the rest of her year with her GPA in tact and run away to Stanford in the fall. And everything seems to be heading in that direction, well everything was headed in that direction until she hit a huge detour!

When her parents leave town for a wedding, they leave Maya in charge of the restaurant. Everything goes as smoothly as possible except for a couple of crabby customers, but hey it happens. What Maya wasnt expecting was a visit from the health department that ends in a $10,000 fine!

Fortunately for Maya her current tutor student happens to be none other than Camden King, the mega popular super hottie of her school. When he mentions to Maya that hell pay her a hundred dollars to do his homework, she dismisses him, but now that she needs ten grand and in a hurry, it is starting to sounds like a good idea.

This book was so fun, and too cute! I loved Camden and Maya, they cracked me up with their sarcastic and smart ass comebacks! I was laughing out-loud throughout the book. Chevas writing was totally refreshing. I loved her understanding of young teen voices. I absolutely recommend this book, it is a fun and quick read! You should definitely go pick up a copy! I'm looking forward to reading more by Cheva.
