This one gave me all the The Summer I Turned Pretty vibes but with a high-stakes twist! We follow Madi, a bookish fourteen-year-old whose quiet summer gets flipped upside down by Matthew, a heroic lifeguard.
The Twist: It’s not just a summer fling. We get to see them reconnect years later in college! Watching Madi grow from a girl swept away to a woman writing her own story was so empowering.
