In this adorable and lively tale, Sparrow and her friends rally to rejuvenate their garden before Easter day. Things go well until a storm makes a mess of their work, but the animals remind one another that Easter is a time of endless hope and persevere to be rewarded with plentiful flowers and color on Easter morning.
The illustrations are adorable, full of color, and perfectly spring. The friends delight in gardening together, and each animal is able to use their unique features and abilities to get the job done. Turtle carries seeds on his back, and buck uses his antlers to till the earth. Everyone is a valuable member of the team, contributing a can do spirit and smiles.
While Easter is at the center of this story, the cheery animals carry a hopeful message that can be enjoyed by readers of varying faith backgrounds.
