this book is not for the young at heart. it's a look into the pain and hurt after a break-up and how one should cope with it. it's slighty disturbing being that a teacher is involved but overall it showed me the value of dignity and pride. it's understandable that the girl is upset by her teacher's actions but to go so far as to stalk is slighty more scary. i liked the book becasue it had elements of true love and passion which went great with the intensity of revenge. i recommend this to anyone.

I live in (Madison) Alabama, am a teacher and have had many students who resemble "Nine." I am disturbed by the lesson learned in TEACH ME - that it's okay to rape a student and get away with it. Yes, I know that critics love how Nelson portrays both characters' passion for one another but I felt as if Mr. Mann just got to live life and allow Nine to drown in her sorrow.
Perhaps I have taught too many girls who've been treated like Nine was by Mr. Mann, but I wanted him to pay the price for what he knew was wrong.
Even in Alabama, it's still rape!
