That Time I Turned Into a Worm is a cute interactive book.
The story is a bit odd. There is a bit of an Alice in Wonderland vibe to Rita's adventure.
We're introduced to Rita after she has changed into a worm. We are never told why or how, just that it happened. My youngest child found this difficult to grasp and a tad annoying.
The interactive pages are perfect for children ages 4 and up. They present an easy challenge for those participating in Rita's garden adventure.
The illustrations are cute, with this washed out fantasy color pallete.
I loved how they turned everyday garden produce into carrot cities or potato forests, giving the reader a different perspective.
That Time I Turned Into a Worm is a cute book with plenty of stops for interaction and engagement for the reader.
