Well, overall, I guess it was fine. The writing was nice, and just the problems presented weren't all that bad: the teenage mind and problems weren't portrayed bad at all, they were quite right on target.

I think the thing that bothered me is that it goes a little too much A-List, Gossip Girl, etc. type on me. Yeah, they're in the Hamptons, but after reading far better an more thought provoking novels? I just felt that this one didn't measure up to the quota.

It was still a good read, and for those who prefer reading about cosmopolitan life, they'll definitely enjoy it, but not so much for me.

The Au Pairs is the story of three very differnt girls who all answer the ad of a rich family looking for some help with thier crazy children over the summer. The girls all come together in the hamptons to take care of the children, but none of the girls are truley focused on caring for the kids. Everyone has alterior motives that play out through the book. One wants to become rich again, another wants to find a rich sugar daddy to hang on, and the third wants to experience the big city.
The story is just plain boring, I couldnt really have cared less about these three girls, to me they all seemed rather stupid and I couldnt see anyone doing most of the things they did. All the girls are really shallow and immature, the story lacks substance and I wouldnt recomend it to anyone.
