It's summertime in the Hamptons, the setting of which three very different girls will work together to babysit hyper-active kids. The job pays VERY well, which two out of the three girls needs, while the other just wants to find her lover (who left her without any personal info). What the girls don't know is that they will be getting more than money. There are many bumps they have to overcome in order to make things work. They all find love and/or happiness by the end of the book.
It's a very good book (one of my favorites) if you like romance, funny, and scandal mixed into one. I suggest that young adults/teens read it. It's a good summer book!

They come together, strangers at glance, through a summer job. They come for different motives, however innocent, however self-centered, and come with a clash. What they form is a trio of friends having the best summer of their lives. This book is awesome, packing a punch of a story, but what I loved is the friendship between these strangers that formed instantly and hardened so it becomes almost unbreakable. Journey through the stories of three au pairs and their life changing summer.

For a chance at $10, 000 and the best parties of the summer, three girls, Mara, Eliza, and Jacqui, sign up to be au pairs at a wealthy family's house. Mara is there to escape her small-town life. Eliza is there in hopes to reclaim her It Girl status she lost with her father's bankruptcy. Jacqui is there to find a guy she loved and lost. Once there, though, none of their plans go as followed, and they leave changed, for the better. This book was very realistic, and I liked it a lot.

Three girls get hired to be Au pairs for one of the wealthiest families in the Hamptons.

For one of the three girls, Eilza, the used to be it girl of the Hamptons, this is her way back to the life of the rich and famous. Eilza's father went broke ever since then she has lost touch with the world she loved so much. Yet, she might find out she just doesn't belong there anymore.

Then there is Mara Waters. The girl who doesn't know that she has a killer body. She takes the job to escape another boring summer in Massachusetts. Also to make money for college. She might just gain something or should I say someone in the process.

Finally, we have the drop dead beautiful Brazilian girl Jacqui. Who takes the job because she sees it as a free ticktet to find the boy who stole her heart over spring break. But she might have been better off not looking for him.

Plot twists that will keep you reading all day and night. Great addicting read.

Three different teenagers, from three different backgrounds are heading to the Hamptons this summer as au pairs, for three very different reasons!

Mara, the small town girl from sturbridge, is it it for the 10,000 dollar paycheck so she can head off to college.

Eliza, the once "Spolied Rich girl," from NYC, is spending the summer hitting the hottest clubs in town, while attempting to become popular again, since she had to move to buffalo after her dad needs financial help, and looses her spoiled friends, and her status as "IT GIRL."

And Jacqui, the exotic beauty from Brazil, is on a mission to find her first love, Luca without a clue of what lies in this place called the... Hamptons?

The three girls, brought together in the hamptons, are promised the "Summer of their lives" but after love, broken hearts, and many difficult times, will the girls be able to keep their friendship, aswell as the paycheck, and the new relationships that come with being an AU PAIR?

Find out for yourself..

The Au Pairs is a book about three girls, who come from all different walks of life. One girl comes from a small town who is just trying to earn some money for a car of her own. The second girl is a used to be rich girl, who now lives in a small apartment with her parents and goes to a public school. She takes the job, so she can spend the summer in the Hamptons and tries to be her old rich self. The third girl is from Mexico and is from a town where no guy will look at her. But when she comes to the Hamptons, every guy is all over here. These three girls come together to take care of three kids for one summer and they all help each other discover something new that they never knew was possibly.

Classic teen girls having slamming summer vacation. I loved it. Great boys, slamming location and typical girl fights. A great refreshing treat. I recommend it. It totally spices up summer.

A rich New Yorker, Kevin Perry, is going to the Hamptons with his family. He sends out an ad asking for a group of au pairs for his 4 young children. Eliza Thompson and her family and the Perry family are close friends. But after some problems with her dads job, the Thompsons were forced to leave their high society world and move to Buffalo, NY. Kevin Perry offered Eliza the job as a favor to her and for Eliza; its a way to get back into the society where she belongs. The next girl is Mara, a small-town girl who desperately needs the money for college. The last girl is Jacqui. Jacqui, a Brazilian beauty, took the job to look for her former fling, Luke.

The children are nothing like they expected. The girls didnt think that they had to care for the children. At first, Jacqui and Eliza go party to get in with the in crowd, leaving Mara with the children. Then Mara starts getting closer to Ryan, the oldest Perry child. Eliza tries to hook up with her old boyfriend, Charlie, who she broke up with immediately after her father started having problems. Jacqui looks for Luke and finally finds him. But things start to fall apart for all the girls when their real lives collide with their new lives as au pairs.

The girls seem to be living the life. But between problems with the children and problems with their love lives, the girls bond and become good friends. They learn a lot of things, especially to stick up for themselves. And despite the bad parenting skills, everything works out and the girls are invited back during Christmas to watch the kids again.

This book was really, really good. I thought I would like it because I really liked Gossip Girl, but the Au Pairs was a lot better. Of course there was a lot of drama, but it was all interesting. I finished the whole book in one sitting. I really hope that the author will write more books about these characters. I absolutely loved this book and I will recommend this book to all my friends.
