This is My Treehouse is the tale of a young child and happy memories in the treehouse built with Grandpa. Sometimes these adventures are imaginary, featuring pirates or storms high in the sky, while others are about observing nature from a treehouse draped in snow or offering views of autumn leaves.

The beautiful illustrations were created with traditional mediums, and the bold colors capture the adventurous spirit of the book. Each page spread has a full illustration opposite a plain page with the text and a smaller drawing, which makes it very easy to read.

The story also uses a repetitive structure that can help young readers gain confidence with sight reading. The book is more about describing the wonders of imagination than following a narrative plot. Instead of a traditional beginning, middle, and end, readers can look forward to being immersed in the simple joys of childhood, and how a little imagination can make everyday experiences magical.

A great read for those who dream and play pretend, and the adults who never really stopped.
