Two teens who have recently broken up have to spend a take a road trip together for their move to college in this swoon-worthy young adult romance.

There are two sides to every breakup.

This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They’re even going to the same college and driving cross-country together for orientation.

Then Jordan dumps Courtney—for a girl he met on the internet.

It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney’s heartbroken but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la—this is Courtney pretending not to care.

But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.

Turns out, he’s got a secret or two he’s not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can’t get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

This book had three of my favorite things:
1. A road trip.
2. An alternative POV.
3. A hot guy.

It was funny to see these two come together after a break up. Great story.

I got into character. I loved how it was two sides before and after but it got a little confusing at first. It is a take on reality but, in as semi funnier way.
This is my first book that i've read by Lauren Barnholdt but I think that she is a very good author and a lot more girls should read her books.

This is a dual first person book, which I read with my friend, Tina. She read
Courtney's POV and I read Jordan's. It was a fun way to read a fun
book. I enjoyed it and would probably have enjoyed it nearly as much
had I read it the usual way. There are a lot of flashbacks, and it
being written in present tense made that mildly awkward at first, but
it was barely noticeable most times. My biggest problem was I felt
certain things were being forced on me. Like the constant mention of
Myspace and 'hooking up'. I don't think teenagers talk about social
networking sites nearly as much as adults think they do. For one. And
then the Hooking Up thing. Is that really what teens use to reference kissing? It threw me off a bit. Aside from that, I loved the
story. Everything felt real. I
recommend it if you want something fun and interesting.

This is a must read!! Lauren Barnholdt is very creative with the way she wrote this book. Not only do you hear from both characters in the present, but you also hear both sides starting the night they started dating. It really hooks you in, and just keeps you wanting to read. The characters are great, with a lot of depth and thought. The characters reflect real life people, where in some novels the characters are incredibly fake. The book was definately original, something you generally wouldn't think of as a story. So get out there and get yourself a copy :)

At the beginning of the book you meet two 18 year old characters Courtney and Justin. They had been going out but Justin broke up with Courtney and he told her it was because he had met someone else but it they're was something else. He didn't want to break up with her. The story switches from not only Courtney and Justin's points of views but from past and present. So Courtney and Justin are going to the same college so while they were together they planned a road trip for that fall to get from where they live in Florida to where they would be attending college in Boston. They decide to go on the trip anyways and through out the trip the two characters learn a lot about each other that they didn't know including secrets that Justin had been keeping that had driven them apart. After three hectic days they arrive in Boston and settle in for college and come to an understanding and I am not quite sure but I think they got back together.

I learned a lot from this book but the main theme I would say is don't keep secrets because it will catch up to you in the end. Even if you think you're protecting that person you'd be better off telling them in most situations.

I really liked this book... It was so real to the mind of how young
relationships can go and even the drama of the parents affair is
realistic in the times we live in today. Imagine what you would do if
you had to have your ex go with you not only to the same college but
you are driving there together! What fun! And thank you for sharing
this little adventure with us.

The only thing that upset me a little with this book was the
language. I understand that kids today my use more curse words than we
did but I didn't think they were necessary to get the point across in a
teen novel. That would be the only real reason to keep my daughter from
reading this. A few sexual situations also come up that would be
questionable but the story itself is great! A real winner!

Courtney is finally going off to college. Unfortunately, she's taking a road trip with her ex-boyfriend (who left her for a girl he met on the internet) is going with her. How was she supposed to know that this would happen back when they were planning it, ya know, when they were a happy couple. And even worse, she still loves him. This is really tragic right? What's worse is that her ex-boyfriend, Jordan, loves her too. But neither of them know how the other truly feels, which definitely causes some tension between the two. If only Jordan could tell her why he broke up with her. They're practically destined for each other.

The chapters switched between the point of view of Courtney and Jordan. They also switched between past ans present tense so it was like: Courtney Present, Jordan Present, Courtney Past, Jordan Past, Repeat. I liked that set up because you got the before and after of their breakup and the during too. I also liked hearing both character's points of view. It was definitely better than just hearing Courtney's side or just Jordan's side.

I absolutely LOVED this book. It was funny, the characters were relateable, and it really keep my interest the whole way through...I couldn't put it down! Gosh, I couldn't even THINK about putting it down. I would recommend it to anyone. I even let two other people read mine.
