There are two sides toevery breakup.
This is Jordan and Courtney, totally in love. Sure, they were an unlikely high school couple. But they clicked; it worked. They're even going to the same college, and driving cross-country together for orientation.
Then Jordan dumps Courtney -- for a girl he met on the Internet.
It's too late to change plans, so the road trip is on. Courtney's heartbroken, but figures she can tough it out for a few days. La la la -- this is Courtney pretending not to care.
But in a strange twist, Jordan cares. A lot.
Turns out, he's got a secret or two that he's not telling Courtney. And it has everything to do with why they broke up, why they can't get back together, and how, in spite of it all, this couple is destined for each other.

This is a must read!! Lauren Barnholdt is very creative with the way she wrote this book. Not only do you hear from both characters in the present, but you also hear both sides starting the night they started dating. It really hooks you in, and just keeps you wanting to read. The characters are great, with a lot of depth and thought. The characters reflect real life people, where in some novels the characters are incredibly fake. The book was definately original, something you generally wouldn't think of as a story. So get out there and get yourself a copy :)

Courtney is finally going off to college. Unfortunately, she's taking a road trip with her ex-boyfriend (who left her for a girl he met on the internet) is going with her. How was she supposed to know that this would happen back when they were planning it, ya know, when they were a happy couple. And even worse, she still loves him. This is really tragic right? What's worse is that her ex-boyfriend, Jordan, loves her too. But neither of them know how the other truly feels, which definitely causes some tension between the two. If only Jordan could tell her why he broke up with her. They're practically destined for each other.

The chapters switched between the point of view of Courtney and Jordan. They also switched between past ans present tense so it was like: Courtney Present, Jordan Present, Courtney Past, Jordan Past, Repeat. I liked that set up because you got the before and after of their breakup and the during too. I also liked hearing both character's points of view. It was definitely better than just hearing Courtney's side or just Jordan's side.

I absolutely LOVED this book. It was funny, the characters were relateable, and it really keep my interest the whole way through...I couldn't put it down! Gosh, I couldn't even THINK about putting it down. I would recommend it to anyone. I even let two other people read mine.
