Selenology, the study of Earth’s moon, is the focus of WILL WE EVER LIVE ON THE MOON. This book explores the possibility of humans living on our moon, for research purposes or other reasons.

Starting at the beginning, with humans earliest recorded fascination of the moon, it moves through some of the most important discoveries related to the moon. From the creation of the telescope to the rockets we built to try and visit the moon. The book doesn’t deep-dive into the information, keeping it simple enough for young readers while encouraging their interest in learning more.

The illustrations perfectly accompany the text. Simple but clean illustrations give life to the information the author is sharing. The images aren’t all vibrant colors, shifting to shades of gray when the focus is on the moon specifically.

The very back of the book also provides additional information related to the study of the moon and a glossary for difficult words that the younger readers may not be familiar with.

WILL WE EVER LIVE ON THE MOON gives readers a very brief introduction to the moon and what it would take to survive on it. With additional information and beautiful images, this is a great book for young readers fascinated with space.
