YOUR MONEY AND THE WORLD teaches children all of the different things they can do with their money to help them make better decisions in the future, such as spending, saving, donating, or investing. It also teaches children how other people might view money and their beliefs on it. To add more substance, it teaches the history of money and what a world without it might be like. I also like the incorporation of how spending releases things like dopamine and the reason why it can be addictive or therapeutic.

The book opens up in a graphic novel format to take the reader through an adventure of finding, spending, and saving money. Then, it goes into an educational format with speech bubbles to add more humor to it. The illustrations are simple with minor detailing to add context to the book. Money is something not many people like to talk about because everyone has a different opinion on it. This is a great way to educate children on all of the different ways money can play into their life to help shape their own viewpoint. Most children just inherit their parents' way of spending, so this is a nice way to give them alternative options.


Final Verdict: I would recommend this to all middle-graders aged 8 and older, especially for those showing interest in money. It's a great tool to show children more about money and teach them things parents might not think of. It's like closing the loops.
