The little ones are off and ready to explore their world in this delightful companion to Bunny Roo, I Love You, now available in board book!

When you touched the water, you squawked and splashed. I thought you'd become a duckling, so I jumped in to play with you.

It's hard to keep up with an energetic toddler, and as a doting mom tries to, she describes all the lively young animals her little one reminds her of—from a hopping frog and a squirming snake, to her adorable cuddly bunny.

BUNNY ROO AND DUCKLING TOO is an adorable board book about caregiver love. The book imagines the ways that toddlers can be like different kinds of animals and the ways that caregivers adapt to these scenarios. For instance, "When you touched the water, you squawked and splashed. I thought you'd become a duckling, so I jumped in to play with you." The illustrations then show a duck and duckling. The book continues on this imaginative playdate with other adorable animal dyads until it comes to a mother and child, expressing their love and snuggling.

What I loved: This is a simple and sweet board book that will speak to caregivers of young toddlers. The imaginative text speaks to the joy and care given as children explore the world around them, much like the animals pictured. The illustrations are imaginative and lovely with plenty of pastels and capturing the love between parent and child, imagined as adorable animal pairs.

There are no more than a couple phrases on each page, making them turn quickly, which will work well for older infants and toddlers, and the board book design also works well for little fingers. The font is large and clear, printed on a white background to make it easy for adults to read aloud.

Final verdict: BUNNY ROO AND DUCKLING TOO is a sweet book about the love between caregiver and child, featuring adorable animal pairs and a message of endearment.
