Night Night, Christmas: A Touch-and-Feel Storybook

NIGHT NIGHT, CHRISTMAS is a sweet board book with small touch-and-feel elements. The story visits different animals as they settle down for sleep at Christmastime, wishing each little animal 'Night night.'

What I loved: This story features fantastic rhymes that really roll off the tongue with the repetitive refrain of wishing the little ones night night. The different animals pictured throughout are lovely and will appeal to young readers. Winter and Christmas scenes and phrasing make this great for the holiday season with just a touch of non-religious holiday fun. Touch-and-feel elements add an interactive part to reading as children can feel different textures with a good variety, such as soft fur on a little owl or the burlap that a little cow is sleeping upon.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the touch-and-feel elements often seemed very small, so there was not a lot to feel amongst the large illustrations. That being said, little fingers will still appreciate them.
