When the Christmas tree man set up his shop, on Liberty Street, at the end of the block, it started the city all dreaming great dreams of a city Christmas tree. As anyone who has ever lived in a city knows, there is truly something magical about the moment when fresh green fir trees begin to line the usually drab urban streets in the days leading up to Christmas. Rebecca Bond has captured this unique time from the point of view of six different family members. Evocative and moving, this is a celebration of how one special tree brings the dreams of a familyand the whole citytogether on Christmas day.
