Four little kittens have never seen snow. Theyre all anxious and afraid because it will be wet and cold. Except the fourth little kitten. He cant wait!

All through the seasons, three of the kittens fret and worry about snow. But, the precocious fourth little kitten is fond of things his siblings are afraid to do. He climbs mailboxes, chases frogs, and puts his paws wherever he likes. Hes looking forward to experiencing snow for the first time.

This is a simple tale about overcoming fears and trying new things. Kids will love the comforting, repetitive text. Theyll enjoy illustrations of the adorable kittens chasing leaves and looking undeniably kittenish.

Easy words mean that early readers can be confident about reading it through by themselves. No stumbling blocks and plenty of breaks to let them enjoy the pictures.

Rohmann is a Caldecott medal (and honor) winning illustrator, and his books never disappoint. Im happy to say that A Kitten Tale is a delightful addition to our familys collection.
