As American Idol II gears up, superstar hopefuls and show fans can use this book to gear up for the next round. The 64 page book is the only official book about American Idol and you find behind-the-scenes photos and details you won't find anywhere else.

The book provides an in-depth look at the contestants, hosts and judges, including the infamous Simon Cowell. The final 10 finalists are covered in great detail, including interviews with each one.

The funniest and most interesting parts, at least to me, were the descriptions of the auditions where they narrowed down 10,000 applicants to 121 contestants. The other details and interviews are also very interesting, especially for those fans that watched the show religously.

I love the show American Idol which airs Monday nights. When I read this book I really understood how hard it was for all the stars to get there and it made me aprreicate and understand how hard they worked.
