I got this animal alphabet book as a gift for my 3 year old my nephew and he loves it. An A to Z Walk in the Park takes place in a make believe park or zoo (if you will). With each letter of the alphabet there are corresponding animals identified by name in a different landscape. For each letter Ill read the accompanying alliterative text to my nephew and he likes to guess or tell me the names of the animals. The variety of animals is probably this books greatest attribute. Some of them Ive never come across (uakari, indri, a loris) so its good that every last one of them is identified. Smiths colorful depiction of the animals are not too stylized, therefore, they are easily recognizable as the real thing. With over 200 of themeither common or unusualmy nephew was eager to boast or discover what was coming on each turn of the page.
