I saw this book just after I had watched a biography on the Romanov family on TV. Seeing this innocent girl's diary pages and pictures after hearing what happened to her family was at times hard to deal with. And even though I had already heard about the DNA test to see if a woman who claimed she was Anastasia was really her had come back negative, I still have hope that somehow this little girl made it out of that horrible situation.
I first became interested in Anastasia when I saw a TV movie on Lifetime about the woman who claimed she was Anastasia. then I heard there was an old movie about it too, so I looked up info on it. The cartoon movie of it is wonderful & it carefully deals w/the family's demise without scaring kids.
This is a interesting book for anyone who is interested in the Romanov family or just has an interest in history.
