What Worked: All book lovers can identify the joy Angelina Ballerina experiences going to the library and picking out exciting books. She went home and shared them with her family and friends and quickly read through them all. She returned to the library to pick out more and found herself reading them there on the spot.
What Left Me Wanting More:
This book was a level one ready-to-read book. I think it may be better suited as a level two because some words were not easily decodable. An emerging reader will have better success with this book if they have support from a fluent reader.
Final Verdict: I love the positivity and joy that Angelina experiences going to the library. I connected with the experience. I would wholeheartedly want others to feel the same way about their local library. This book presents a positive action that would help children learn to read if they too can experience the library as Angelina does.
