Babar Learns to Cook is an interesting tale of animals taking on human personality. It is a great piece of picture book by de Brunhoff. It combines imagination, merriment, and color.
Queen Celeste, Babar's wife, calls Chef Truffles for a cooking lesson. He agrees and the family gathers for a lesson. They learn how to make a delectable stuffed mushroom. The children get in trouble and are bannished from the lessons. As they make fun out of the lesson, they make a mess and a delight! Chef Truffles helps them make the day with chocolate cake and a strawberry souffle.
I think that baby-sittees will enjoy this story. It is not everyday that kids read about elephants and they will like this. I liked and they will like the choices and funny business, 3 stars! I recommend this story for kids ages 4 and up.
