Thank you to Kaz Windness and Simon and Schuster for a copy of Bitsy Bat, School Star. I love reviewing childrens' books.
Bitsy is a bat and going to school for the first time. She's excited but when she arrives - things don't go she thought they would - AT ALL. Bitsy is autistic and everything feels strange. She doesn't think she fits in at all. She tries, but ends up very discouraged.
I don't want to give away the ending. I will say I thought this was a very creative, kind book about a sweet bat trying to fit in. Bitsy's idea was wonderful.
Beautifully illustrated and I loved the kindness in this story. I can't wait to share it with a friend.
