Buzz: A Family Guide to Bugs and Bees and How to Spot Them provides several chapters about various bugs around the world and the ways they have changed to survive. There are fifteen bugs included in this book to discover, from beetles, butterflies, bees, and more.
What I Liked: This book contains a lot of interesting facts about bugs and bees, and they are presented in a way that will interest younger readers. Each bug is presented throughout four pages, and each of those pages details a brief summary about the bug before going into its adaptations for survival. The second page also shares additional insects who share the trait that the first insect does making them a hero.
The illustrations throughout this book are extravagant and highly detailed, providing you with realistic images of the bugs that are introduced. The illustrations go well with the text and help break the text up so there is no feeling that too much information is being presented at once. This book also provides you with information on how and where to spot insects.
Final Verdict: Buzz: A Family Guide to Bugs and Bees and How to Spot Them is a beautiful non-fiction book that is perfect for introducing children ages 8 and up to various creatures. People who want to learn more about bugs and bees will gain a lot from this book, and this book will encourage new learners to search for more information.
