One of the delightful thing about kids is all of their crazy questions. It might start related to the conversation, say, can you grow a striped banana? And the train of thought spirals from there, moving to rockets to the moon, cats parading for paparazzi, and then eating cake with animals in a tree in the moon's full glow. In this book, a mother and daughter embark on this silly game of what-ifs, fostering creativity and a joy in wondering, even if those imaginations don't become reality.
I loved all of the colors, the wide variety of scenarios (favorites include the yeti and the chocolate milk cows parading parfaits), and the easy, musical cadence that flows with every turn of the page. It reminds me of so many whimsical, silly moments shared with curious kids, and I know lots of little ones who will love to read this over and over (and probably start asking for their own striped bananas).
Pick this up for a happy, bouncy tale full of curious creatures and love.
