Reader reviewed by Julie M. Prince

For a journal that has just washed up on the shores of England, I find this book to be in remarkably good shape.

The tattered and worn pages reveal an amazing adventure, illustrated by the hand of its 8-year-old (or is he really 400?)storytelling owner, Charlie Small.

Accounts of crocodile wrestling, rhino taming, and gorilla-speaking abound. Follow Charlie through the wild jungle as he desperately tries to find his way home, and without a signal on his mobile phone!

"The Amazing, Astonishing, Incredible, and TRUE Adventures" of Charlie Small may be a tad exaggerated, but they're certainly creative and entertaining.

With no expectations, this makes for a nice afternoon read. More books (washed up on the same shore, I presume) to follow in the series promise new adventures.
