This is a great book, one of the first ones I read for pleasure rather than school assigned. To hear a true story of a girl who was raised in the 1940s and treated literally as a Cinderella is heartbreaking. Out of the all the children in her "combined" family she is the one treated as garbage. It is terrible to hear that a child could be treated in such a bad way.
