Adeline Yen Mah in my opinion out did her self. This was an amazing book about a child who is constantly looked down upon when all she wants to do is be loved for who she is. Ms. Yen Mah takes you on a journey through her childhood introducing you to her caring Aunt, her loving grandparents, her siblings, her father (who did not pay any attention to her at all), and then to her stepmother a woman who it was hard not to realize that she was the villain within the story. She cared nothing at all for Adeline only for herself and her children.Yet Adeline continued even through her sadness to one day tell the story of a daughter who was unwanted and at times unloved by those whose love she wanted the most. This was a sad yet brilliant story that i would recommend to anyone.
