Poor Mole is startled by thunder one day and he runs back to his burrow to hide. No matter what his friends do, they can't make him come out. He's just too scared. Together they come up with an ingenious plan to help him, but will it work?
What I Liked: Children can really learn from this book that while there are some things that may frighten you, we must face them. Sometimes it just takes the right motivation though. The way his friends trick him, may seem a little mean, but it helped him to overcome his fear because he knew his friends were more important.
Final Verdict: This was a well written and beautifully illustrated book. I think that these types of stories are very important for younger children when it comes to learning about the world. I would definitely recommend it.
