COUNT TO 10 (AND BACK AGAIN!) is a fun counting board book. The book consists of alternating flaps that allow children to count up to 10 stars before encouraging them to count back down again.
What I loved: The style of this board book is unique with flaps opening to both sides, back and forth. This is unique and brings something new to the counting experience. The images are simple but colorful and show the correct number of stars on each page as the flaps open. Rhyming text around the numbers add to the fun of being read aloud. The font is clear enough with contrasting colors that help in low light settings like bedtime. This is a great pick for little ones who are learning counting.
What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the book does need to be read in reverse or realigned when the reader gets to 10 (they zip back together essentially), which can be tough if readers like to stop reading in the middle or skip around pages. Additionally, this mechanism requires 2 hands available to read the book, and it can be tough for little ones to do on their own.
Final verdict: Overall, COUNT TO 10 (AND BACK AGAIN!) is an entertaining counting board book that will work well for young toddlers.
