Dazzle Like Dolly is such a fun way to use the words and life of Dolly Parton to be creative and reflective of ones own life!
Even if children don’t know who Dolly Parton is yet, this book is colorful, engaging, and fun for children and middle grades! I feel like I learned a lot more about Dolly Parton that I didn't know before: from her humble beginnings to her dazzling career, and what she is up to now.
The pages were super bright and eye catching, screaming Dolly.
The colors, fonts and more importantly, the questions asked are so creative.
I liked all the writing prompts, particularly the section of this book where readers are asked to make a list of goals/dreams, and then break those big dreams into small steps for a “tried and true strategy” helping to drive home that success doesn’t happen overnight.
Dolly really is a wonderful role-model for young people. She has a can-do attitude towards life, is a hard-worker, treats everyone like a friend, and embraces her talents and uniqueness. She is someone anyone of all ages can look up to.
This felt part journal, part biography, all inspiration. I think everyone would get a kick out of the song lyrics scattered throughout, as well as the different activities offered throughout.
This book doesn’t sugarcoat it, but it does give good advice on how to work hard and never give up. With "Be True to Yourself and the World" as the main focus of this journal, it is a must buy for the young girls, or boys, in your life.
