What really makes this book, Down The Cereal Aisle, so special is that it is not ordinary.
Reading the pages of the children who have died, it is clear that the love for them is great and that the pain over their absence is deep.
I learned not only how to make wonderful chocolate chip bars, but how to let grief over the death of my child be a part of me, not something to try to escape. I found comfort in so many of the truths presented in Down The Cereal Aisle.
There is a lot of fluff out there on the bookshelves--books that are all hype without anything solid to tell. But books like Down The Cereal Aisle are needed and valued. I recommend it for everyone.
