FORD: LET'S DRIVE is an engaging board book about a trip to the park. The book follows a little blue car as it drives out of the city, on the highway, and to the park. The characters get to play in the park, ending with a picnic after a great day!

What I loved: Toddlers will love this story! It's simple with lots of vehicles on each page. The story is very simple, mostly focusing on the drive out of the city, onto the highway, and then more rural roads. Beyond the blue car, there are many other cars that travel along the way for children to count and check out. While the characters are unnamed, this keeps the focus on cars - though there are lots of people and dogs having fun at the park. Illustrations are colorful and have plenty of detail to keep readers engaged.

The interactive element of the book on wheels is a lot of fun for little ones. While the title has Ford in it, the book does not really speak to the type of car beyond color, which is great for young readers (who probably classify cars by color). Call-out bubbles include questions that can help the story be a bit more interactive as well, such as to count horses or answer about their own lives.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, rougher or curious readers will take the wheels off to explore. They do not easily go back on the book, so the ability to drive it will be impaired. They are not very hard to take off. There are also a lot of sentences/words on each page which will work better for readers who have patience to hear the text.

Final verdict: FORD: LET'S DRIVE is sure to be a win for vehicle-loving toddlers who will enjoy the drive-able design and appreciate the focus on cars as they travel to the park.
