Goat is the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time). Did you know that acronym? I didn’t know for a while, and the littles you read this with will be delighted when they find out that Goat is not just a name for an animal. Kids will delight as Goat's misunderstanding leads him to determine what makes him the greatest, but like we all soon learn, we are the greatest when we are ourselves and when we stop comparing our greatness to that of others. There is a little bit of greatness in each of us, and it is better to congratulate everyone on what makes them great than to let competitiveness or jealousy steal our joy. Goat is the G.O.A.T. Author Bea Birdsong's writing is clear and full of personality. Kelly Murphy’s bright illustrations mirror the text with humor. I am sure this excellent book will be popular and a delight as children explain that Goat is also a way to say something else.
