Good Night, Little One: A Sliding Ribbon Book

GOOD NIGHT, LITTLE ONE is a delightful and clever board book. The text features a simple poem of love for bedtime between caregiver and child. The unique elements are the ribbons that slide through the pages of the book to help complete the images.

What I loved: This was my first experience with a sliding ribbon book, and it was very cool! I loved the way they showed up and looked on each page, completing the illustrations (for example, forming the roof of the house). They were fun to touch and visually enjoy. The text was also fantastic - a lovely poem of joy and care to be shared with a young child. The rhyming text was pleasing to read aloud and will appeal to little ears.

These are complimented by pretty and colorful illustrations showing an adult and baby bear on each scene. I loved the use of color, such as purples in the dark light setting of bedtime (instead of the usual blue or black). They complimented the story well and worked perfectly with the ribbons that slide through the pages.
