This book is a never-ending source of "extreme" knowledge, broken down into categories including Extreme Killers, Extreme Danger, Extreme Speed, Extreme Teeth (!), Extreme Survivors, and more. At the end of each chapter, readers can quiz themselves on what they've learned. There's also an informative chapter on how to become a record-breaker (hmm, I always wondered about this). The book is big and bright, drawing the reader in with not only its amazing facts but sound-bite sidebars of trivia tidbits and amazing photos.
Here, we can see a photo of the foot of the person who has the most digits (a person in India, who has a total of 25 fingers and toes); the heaviest vehicle pulled with a person's teeth; the farthest distance covered in a lawn mower race --- just to name a very few.
Well, seriously, who can resist this huge pile of quirky facts? Very highly recommended.
