HA HA HALLOWEEN is a humorous lift-the-flap board book themed for the holiday. Each page spread has several flaps to open with jokes, search-and-find, and other simple activities.

What I loved: For children who enjoy Halloween and Halloween themes, this will be a fun book to explore. The best part is definitely the flaps to lift and see new images that is great for little ones who like to participate in reading books. The illustrations are loads of fun with lots of great details to look at and explore. The additional games, such as the search-and-find add to the fun. Because of this content, this book will work best for preschoolers and young elementary school aged readers.

What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the flaps are cardstock thickness and glued onto the page. This makes them very easy for rip-the-flap readers to tear off. Once they have done so, the questions for many of the jokes are lost. As another thing, most of the jokes fell a bit flat and were not really understood by the intended age range. It can be challenging to come up with, as they would need to be simple but also humorous, so some of these just missed the mark, but this will, of course, depend on the specific reader.
