Harry is a white dog with black spots who hates baths. So when he hears the water running into the tub, he skedaddles. Throughout a day of messy adventure, he becomes dirtier and dirtier. In fact, when he returns home no one recognizes this strange black dog with white spots . . .until he persuades his family to give him a bath.

This is a classic read aloud that is as delightful today as I'm sure it was when it was first published in 1956. The newly enhanced illustrations are fully as charming as the story. Kids who balk at baths or love dogs or just enjoy a great story will be enthralled. Very highly recommended.
