  • And, Horrid Henry tries to be good like Perfect Peter (but finds out he is bad at being good).

Reader reviewed by Rita Lorraine Hubbard, The Original H.I.R. (Historical Investigative Reporter)

If you want to show your children a funny, adventurous, and absolutely horrid time, make sure they read the Horrid Henry series of books by Francesca Simon.

Horrid Henry
is the UK sensation that follows the mischievous life of young Henry, his perfect brother Peter, and his moody friend Margaret.  Each book in the series contains four clever, easy-to-read stories about the nonstop antics of the most horrid hero youve ever known.

In book one, aptly named Horrid Henry, Henry causes chaos in dance class; ruins a peaceful campground after using the tent pegs for firewood; and dares Moody Margaret to eat gooey, gummy, greasy glop.  The book is sprinkled with illustrator Tony Ross hilarious sketches of Henry stomping, Henry scheming, and Henry sticking out his naughty tongue at everyone who glances his way.

Be sure to keep your eyes pealed for the next installment:  Horrid Henry Tricks the Tooth Fairy; but until then, sit back, relax and enjoy this one with your children.  Its definitely fun reading, and it will help you appreciate the fact that no matter what your children do, theyll never be quite as horrid as the infamous Horrid Henry!
