With fun facts and mathematic principles, this book is an excellent introduction to probability concepts and how it plays a role in everyday life. The visual dictionary style makes it fun to jump from section to section and digest the text in small pieces, alongside the illustrative diagrams and fun illustrations.

What is related to probability? Well, almost everything! From rolling dice to weather forecasts to playing games with friends, wherever there is an uncertain outcome, math and probability models are often used to predict the outcome. Maybe we can't "make luck", but to paraphrase, understanding probability can improve the odds of successfully knowing what will happen. The descriptions don't get too deep into the match, but they do include the basic concepts of permutations and combinations without giving it that label, explained in a way that anyone can understand. Other topics include fairness and independent vs dependent events. End materials feature four probability related activities and a brief glossary of terminology.

Overall, this book will build knowledge and satisfy curiosity.
