I BELIEVE IN YOU is a delightfully encouraging book with bright colors and a charming story. While the main text is a general encouragement, the pictures tell the story of a unicorn who is helping a dragon to fly. The dragon is having trouble flying on his own, and comes up with clever ideas, like building a rocket ship and using a bunch of balloons. The important messages are those of support and encouragement with unconditional love pervading each page. This book would be great as a gift for big milestones, such as starting school or a new school or trying something new.
What I loved: The illustrations are brightly colored and so charming, and it is so fun that they tell a story throughout the text. The unicorn and baby dragon have a lot of appeal, and I loved the creativity of and in the story. The text itself is large and easy to read, with its own art. The story is filled with rhymes and fantastic encouragement that could apply to a number of different situations. It is delightful to listen to and rolls off the tongue so smoothly. The amount of text on each page is great for even the youngest of readers. The messaging here is really great with plenty of love and kindness behind each phrase.
Final verdict: Another absolutely charming picture book from these talented sisters, I BELIEVE IN YOU is a delightful picture book of encouragement that would be perfect as a gift around new ventures or simply a reminder that someone has faith in the reader.
