IF IT'S LUNAR NEW YEAR AND YOU KNOW IT is an overall fun twist on a classic nursery rhyme, themed for Lunar New Year. The book goes through different events/activities of Lunar New Year, such as making lanterns, seeing the lights, and filling your plate with food within the tune of the song (sung to "If You're Happy and You Know It"). Each page also includes an interactive element to move or pull out.

What I loved: Babies and toddlers love songs, and this makes this book a hit with the littlest readers. They will love being sung to while seeing the elements move (or moving them themselves). The interactive elements are loads of fun with a lantern being pulled up/open, food appearing on plates, and more. The images are colorful and full of great holiday-related details that little ones will enjoy.

What left me wanting more: This is challenging to fit into the song, as it swaps Lunar New Year with Happy in the song (so 4 syllables where 2 originally went). That said, you can cram it in there and a few repetitions of the book and it feels a bit easier than initially. It does take some work to figure it out the first time.
