IF JESUS CAME TO MY SCHOOL is a gentle story of a child applying their faith to make her school classroom a better place. At first, the child imagines if Jesus came to school and all the wonderful things he would do to include everyone and make everyone feel special. Then the child realizes that she is an agent for Jesus' kindness and makes sure everyone is treated well and fair. The illustrations are nice and bright. The tone is sweet and hopeful. I particularly like how inclusive the representations of the students are. The message is especially poignant right now, that each one of us can work to treat everyone as a brother and sister, and that would be what Jesus would want.
