INVESTIGATORS: CLASS ACTION is a delightful new installment in this humorous graphic novel series. In this story, Mango and Brash are given a mission to go undercover at a public school as students to protect the school's mascot. As it turns out, this particular school is one where Mango was a student in the past. Questions arise as to what is really underneath this case, as these agents do their finest work.

What I loved: This was such a clever and fun new installment that brings the agents of S.U.I.T. to a school - a setting that will resonate with young readers. As they participate as students, they will undergo the usual school trials of classwork and social matters - all while also investigating and protecting the school mascot. As per usual, there are plenty of antics and puns that keep this clever story moving forward with plenty of giggles. The characters provide a lot of comedy throughout and the jokes keep readers entertained as they read along.

In addition to the humor, the mystery is a good one with plenty going on as they infiltrate this public school. The story moves quickly and is well-written, explaining everything smoothly through the images as well as dialogue. In terms of the format, the graphic novel is really nicely presented and will work well for the intended age range. The dialogue is easily attributable and never gets too lengthy on any page or panel, keeping readers moving along and invested. The images are full of color, charming characters, and provide some context and much of the comedy.

Although part of a series, this can be read alone, as everything is well-explained (including the abbreviations), and the story is self-contained. Highly recommend checking out the earlier books though, as they are all very fun!

Final verdict: INVESTIGATORS: CLASS ACTION is a humorous and highly entertaining graphic novel that is sure to delight elementary school aged readers. Highly recommend checking out this latest installment!
