IS A BOOK A BOX FOR WORDS? is an intriguing picture book that invites children to see the world a little differently. Similar to the title, the book invites the reader to think about boxes and the world around them using rhyming phrases. For instance, "If a safe is a box for money, is a hive a box for honey?" These questions invite children to consider how they define a box and the world around them.

What I loved: This is a clever book that takes a new look at boxes, how they are defined, and the world around. This starts children thinking critically about the world around them in a fun new way. The story rhymes, which rolls off the tongue and is great when read aloud. Intriguing illustrations with a blend between the comical and realistic add to the interest of the story and keep readers entertained on each page. This book will work best for elementary school aged picture book readers who can think more about the concepts presented and will understand well the way this book invites them to think in new ways.

Final verdict: IS A BOOK A BOX FOR WORDS? is an entertaining and thought-provoking picture book that invites readers to consider the world around them in new ways.
